Mimi nodded and padded away from the cats, then shot down the pavement, her cerulean stare wide, not seeing anything but the narrow path ahead of her. Subconsciously, she noticed that the velvet collar was gone. Strangest thing to think about...
The haze of cream fur shot in and out of twolegs, jumping over their filthy rubbish and dodging other obstacles that went by so fast she barely noticed. The faint din of the monster's roaring buzzed in her ears, but she didn't notice how close she was to the thundepath. Slipping down the little step that bordered the edge, she carried on running.
Then a monster swerved forward, sending her flying to the edge of the road, right at a huge ginger cat's paws.
Ridge had been watching the young cream she-cat for a while now. Easy to manipulate, probably just wanted adventure and joining an exciting band of cats would, most likely, be very appealing to her. He'd thought he'd need to sneak up on her, but then in the blink of an eye, she ran into the road and was catapulted right to his paws. He smiled down at her, looking fairly sweet but quite clever and cool at the same time, a look he hoped would lure her into joining them without forcing her.
"Hi, you ok? That looked nasty." Ridge's bright olive eyes were expectant as he gazed down, then bent down and pulled up the kit by her shoulder. She shook herself and stared at him, then stuttered "Uh, yeah. It was." Ridge smiled assuringly at her, then carried on openly. "My names Ridge, whats yours? And what are you doing out here?"
Mimi stared at the huge cats, then squeaked a little as he pulled her up. He hoped he hadn't noticed it, and it didn't look like she had. He questioned her, and she managed to squeak out an answer. "My names-" She held back before she uttered her name, wondering if they might be BloodGang. But they seemed nice. Its an act, don't fall for it. A name called in her head, so she smiled and looked up. "My names Lucky, and I was just looking for my friend. She lives over the road from me, and I was going to tell her something really exciting so I didn't look before I crossed." She made up the words, making sure she sounded convincing. "Anyway, I need to go and talk to my friend now, so I'll see you later."
Ridge sensed uncertainty under her words, so he flicked his tail to send two cats round the front to cut her off. "Off so soon? Why don't you hang around a bit, with us. Its fun. Loads of action and fun, maybe even a chance to be really important." 'Lucky' stopped and circled round so she was facing Ridge again, shaking her cranium. "I really need to go..." the words came out uncertainly. Ridge glanced at the two cats behind her and nodded, sending them pushing her forward towards him. "Come on, we'll take you with us. It'll be fun. We're just gonna find a few more friends to hang out with, so why don't you come and meet some new guys."
Mimi shook her head, then darted away, racing for her life, forward and forward. Visions of dead cats and blood obscured her sight, but she kept going, forward and forward. BloodGang, they've found me...

"Ahhhhh..." Ginger purred, settling upon her warm deck pre-heated by the afternoon sun. She stretched her limbs to their fullest extent, and twitched her snowy whiskers in tranquility. Her orange-tabby fur seemed to glow as she faced her white belly toward the sky, curling her paws against her chest.
'My names Lucky, and I was just looking for my friend. She lives over the road from me, and I was going to tell her something really exciting so I didn't look before I crossed. Anyway, I need to go and talk to my friend now, so I'll see you later.' Disturbed my the mews on the thunderpath next to her nest, Ginger rolled to her paws and padded to the edge of her lawn. She stopped beside the white-picket fence and peered between the boards.
'Off so soon? Why don't you hang around a bit, with us. Its fun. Loads of action and fun, maybe even a chance to be really important.' 'I really need to go...' 'Come on, we'll take you with us. It'll be fun. We're just gonna find a few more friends to hang out with, so why don't you come and meet some new guys.' Ginger recognized Mimi, another young kittypet who lived in Twoleg Place. The tone of the tom seemed friendly, yet Mimi's eyes flashed in a mixture of fear and confusion. Why did she say her name was Lucky? Something's wrong...
When Mimi darted away, a look of frustration crossed the tom's face, and he and the other cats behind him began to pursue the little cat. Ginger felt a surge of fear. What would the tom do once he caught Mimi? Hurt her? Ginger leapt over her fence in one graceful, effortless movement. Although she was a kittypet, her belly was lean and muscular, and her young, beautiful features flashed with a snarl. She halted in front of the tom, puffing out her fur and unsheathing her claws. "Don't you dare harm her!" She snarled. Her motherly, kind nature fueling her with the energy and will to protect Mimi. "You'll have to get through me first!"
Oh no, what have I done!? I can't fight these cats!

Mimi daren't look behind her as she sprinted forward, the sound of their breath and pounding paws right behind her. Then it stopped. She kept running, hoping she'd beaten them. She made herself look behind her, although she didn't want them to catch up. Her eyes widened as she saw Ginger, another kittypet, standing up to them. Lingering on the curb, she watched as the three cats slunk into an agressive stance, ready to attack. I have to try and help, maybe we won't be beaten so bad together. The little cream lass stared at Ginger, then ran back, not believing she was doing this. "Ginger!" She called, skidding to a halt at her side and baring her pearly teeth at the huge cats.
Ridge watched with an amused smile on his lips as the pretty kittypet jumped out and attempted to defend Mimi. He flicked his eyes to Mimi, who lingered on the edge of the walking path. Ginger's fur bristled as she stared up at them. Waves of fear came from Ginger as her fur bristled. Ridge bent down low into an agressive stance, then bared his teeth. "Oh really? That shouldn't be too difficult." Then the click of little claws on the pavement swept to his ears, alerting him of Mimi's return. "Oh how nice." He taunted as the other two of his group covered the sides. "Well, maybe you'd both like to come with us, nice and slow. Or fight for it." A smile crossed his face as she stepped forward so he was face to face with Ginger and Mimi. "Whats it gonna be?"

Ginger faced the large cats, their rancid breath upon her face made her want to gag. She turned her scared amber eyes toward Mimi who seemed to show bravery beyond her years. A thought crossed Ginger's mind, and she barely heard the tom's words as she molded a plan. A silence hit the street, and Ginger realized all the cats were looking at her. Lifting her head to stare defiantly into the tom's eyes, she turned quickly and whispered into Mimi's ear; so low that the other cats couldn't hear.
"Mimi, when I jump I want you to run. Go into the forest and find a warrior named Copperfur. I met him once, he's nice. He can help you save me." Seeing the cats close in, suspiciously cocking their ears forward, she snarled. Her beautiful Ginger fur streaked toward the leader, her pearly claw extended. With a strong, but unbalanced blow toward his head, she yowled.
"Mimi, GO!!!"

A large kittypet lowered himself into a long stretch as he slowly awoke. For the past several minutes, the tabby and white tom had been lounging about in his housefolk's garden. Martin blinked open his eyes and gazed lazily about the lawn. Everything was peaceful, or so he thought.
Just as he was closing his eyes, a loud battle yowl rang out in the air. The tom shot straight up, his eyes wide and his claws out. What was that? A snarl now reached his ears, making him look toward one side of the walled in garden. Taking a deep breath, Martin raced for the fence and leaped. Claws sank into the soft wood as he scrambled upward. Now he was perched on top of the fence with a good view of the battle. The tabby felt his muscles tense as he saw his friend, Ginger, launching herself at a fierce-looking tom. Two other cats were surrounding her, closing in the battle. Filling with dread, Martin knew that this battle would not go well. His mind was distracted slightly as he watched a tiny bundle of fur dash across toward the forest, zigzagging back and forth to dodge objects. Keep her safe someone. The tom thought, turning his eyes back to the ill-fated battle. The large tom now had a choice. Stay here and watch his friend killed, or fight in a battle beside her where he most likely would die. The decision was made quick as he dropped onto the opposite side of the fence. He may be a soft-life kittypet, but he still had his friends to think about.
Martin raced forward, his ears flat against his head and tail straight out behind him. They would never see him coming. Martin aimed for one of the toms who had his back turned to Martin. The kittypet screeched loudly and slammed into the tom's flank. The rogue let out a surprised screech as it was thrown a few foxlengths away. Yes, Martin was a kittypet, but he still had the element of surprise.

Mimi ran as fast as she could, eyes wide as she swerved through the trees. As soon as she was sure she was away, the small she-cat turned round and stared at the battle. Grimacing, she fought the urge to go back and help. It would only get them all killed. If she went to get help from Copperfur, they might get back in time to help them. So Mimi turned around and kept running, but slower. She didn't know how far away Copperfur was, but she didn't want to get too tired. Trotting along, she looked up at the trees that she'd strayed into.
I wonder who Copperfur is. Hes got a weird name, anyway. But if he's going to try and help, I need to find him. Mimi scented the air to see if she could find him, but there was only the hanging scent of monsters and twolegs.
*****
Mimi dragged her paws across the ground, looking round tiredly. It felt like she'd been around the world, twice. She opened her mouth and yawned, breathing in the scents around her as she did. She frowned as the scent of many cats, young and old, tom and she-cats. There were so many... all tangled together. Suddenly, some cats padded out, talking together. Mimi ducked behind a bush, eyes wide. They didn't look dangerous... Then one of them looked at her. It was a big tabby tom. He bent down and gently dragged her out. Mimi stared up at the three cats, her breathing heavy. Then the tom spoke. "So, who are you?" Mimi opened her mouth, but no sound came out. Then she gulped and meowed "I'm Mimi. I'm looking for Copperfur. Do you know him?" She stood up, shaking her fur to get rid of the soil. The cats exchanged glances, then the tom looked at her again. "I'm Darkslash. Copperfur is part of my Clan. Why do you want him?"
Mimi sat down, then thought over what had happened to her, and whether she should tell the strange cats. Making a decision, she started to tell them about everything, ending on her journey to find Copperfur. Hoping it wasn't too late, she looked up at the cats. "So can you get him? Ginger and Martin really need his help." _____________________________________________________________________
Darkslash sat down with the patrol, listening to the young cats story. It seemed she'd been through alot in her few moons. She only looked about six moons, but she was already quite confident and looked tough. Mimi stared up at him and the rest of the patrol as she finished, obviously waiting for their reaction. Darkslash nodded, then turned to an apprentice on the patrol. "Can you go back to camp and find Copperfur? We'll follow soon." He smiled at Mimi, then gestured with his broad head towards the camp. "Come on, we'll take you back to our camp so you can talk to Copperfur."
(I'll make a post in Echoclan to carry this on, ok?) _____________________________________________________________________
Ridge snarled as he fought, ripping at the two kittypet's. They may be kittypets, but they put up more of a fight than he expected. They'll be crowfood soon though. He looked up as Slip and Bitten, the other two members of his group, dived on one kittypet each, attempting to pin them down with expert techniques. Ridge watched, his breathing slowing. Then he padded forward, ears back, eyes narrowed and his handsome face contorting into a sickeningly sweet smile. "Oh, come come now. You know you can't beat us." His voice was dripping with venom as the words slipped out, his smirk showing a long, sharp fang that glistened like ice.

Ginger felt relieved when Mimi's white pelt vanished into the forest. She knew that Copperfur would help; even though she only met him once, she could tell by his scars that he was a good fighter. She kept glancing toward the trees, searching for his copper fur and olive-green eyes. I just hope he comes soon!
A large tom came at her, his claws extended with jagged points that threatened to rip her flesh. She sprang backward, missing his attack. She thanked herself for jumping over her white-picket fence so many times, it had created strong leg muscles. The tom attacked again, but she leapt off to the side, scoring her claws down his right flank. The tom caught her on the side of her head with a strong blow. Her head swam with stars as she lost her footing and landed hard on her side. The tom placed his paws on either of her shoulders, trying her pin her. Regaining her strength, Ginger let her strong legs batter the tom's soft underbelly. He let out a yowl of pain and anger as her claws left a particularly deep score. He unplaced a paw, aiming at her face, but Ginger hoped he would. She slid his weight onto her feet, tucking her chest beneath his blows, and launched him off her.
The tom landed awkwardly, almost losing his balance. Ginger leapt at him, but was blown aside by another strong blow to her head. She landed on her side, flanks heaving as she caught her breath. The rough surface of the thunderpath smelled horrid, and she struggled to her paws. But she was shoved over again, and felt sharp claws score down her flanks. Gasping for breath, Ginger felt claws pressed against her soft throat. A deep, chilling voice was whispered into her ear. "Surrender... or die!"
But Ginger hardly heard him. She smelled fresh fumes, and felt the familiar rumble of an approaching monster. Only this time, she was directly in it's path. The tom didn't seem to notice as death drew closer, flashing yellow eyes and shiny silver teeth grinning as it was about to make it's kill. Ginger struggled, but was held fast by the tom. Someone help me!

The rogue that Martin had thrown hissed in rage as he scrambled upward from the dust. His flank was throbbing like crazy but if he stopped he would pay with more than his dignity. He threw himself at the ginger tom, yowling all the while.
Martin let out a muffled growl as the rogue landed on his back. He winced visibly as the sharp points of the claws dug into his skin. He could feel them pulling downwards, ripping open his flanks. The kittypet let out a yowl as the rogue dug it's stained fangs into his shoulders. He arched his back, fighting to get the cat off. However, the rogue wasn't about to let go. Martin was now panting and weakening by the second. It was about this time that he too smelled the sour scents of an approaching monster. He twisted, heart stopping as his eyes landed on Ginger. She was laying on the hard Thunderpath, facing death from both a monster and a BloodGang tom. Martin hardly had time to think as he took off toward her. All he could think about was the fight in front of him. Somehow the rogue on him lost it's grip and, with a surprised yowl, tumbled onto the side of the black thunderpath. The kittypet leaped toward the kittypet and rogue, aiming for the tom's back. Digging his teeth into the cat as he made contact, he yowled, "Run Ginger!"

The weight pinning Ginger was suddenly gone, and she drew a quick, silent breath of relief. Under the fear consuming her, she had almost forgotten what she was afraid of. Springing to her paws under Martin's yowl, Ginger remembered the approaching monster. She shot off the thunderpath.
Panting, Ginger reached the side of the road. She whirled back around to see Martin still battling the tom who had attacked her. The monster was tail-lengths away. Ginger's heart leapt in fear. She wanted to drag Martin out of the monster's path, but her legs were rooted to the ground. "Martin!" She yowled. "Get off the thunderpath!"
With all her attention on Martin, Ginger left herself vulnerable to any standing danger.

Martin was almost too focused on the battle to hear Ginger. But hear her she did and he whirled around in time to see the monster bearing down on him. Ears flattened to his head and eyes wide with fear, Martin ignored the claws that raked down his face. He felt as if a lightning bolt had suddenly struck him as he flung himself out of the way. The kittypet gasped in pain as his claws ripped away from the surface of the thunderpath, but otherwise he was okay.
He rolled along the hard, baked slab, landing a fox-length of where he had been moments ago. As the dust stirred up by the monster rolled toward him in mighty gusts, he coughed. Squinting into the dust, a grim sight was revealed to him. The cat he had been battling was motionless, it's eyes wide with fear and mouth open in a silent scream. It had been killed instantly by the monster.
Another sight drew his eyes away from the dead creature, causing him to gasp in horror. The other rogue was now leaping at the unknowing Ginger, his eyes blazing. "Look out Ginger! Behind you!" Martin yowled, struggling to a standing position.

Ridge snarled as the dust from the monster cleared. Already one cat down. His eyes left his dead comrade to lock on the tom kittypet. He'd noticed the other member of his group creeping towards the she-cat. But Martin, or so he was called, warned her. Ridge snarled and leapt at Martin, landing on top of the kittypet and grabbing his ear with long fangs. Then he ripped up, trying to force him down with his superior weight.
Go on. Give up. (Sorry its short... I have no muse.)

OOc: 'Tis okay Torn. I haven't had the best Rp's today either.
Bic: Martin smiled briefly as he sufficently warned Ginger of the approaching danger. What he didn't see, however, was the large tom headed for him. Suddenly, Martin felt a large and unexpected amount of weight crash down on top of him. Sharp fangs dug into the tender flesh of his ear, causing him to wail. Pain and anger filled him as the sharp ivories ripped through his ear like claws through a feather. For a moment the kittypet struggled; The tom was too strong. Now defeated, Martin fell to the ground, his belly pressed to the black surface of the smelly Thunderpath. He was too tired to struggle. Now at the mercy of the rogue, Martin filled with shame. Why didn't I try harder? He asked himself, feeling sharp claws digging into his back.

Seeing Martin buried beneath a blanket of dark-brown fur, beaten, Ginger opened her mouth to cry out. Her cry was lost as she swept off her paws and pinned to the earth. She struggled, but felt barbed claws scoring down her flanks. She let out a cry of pain. The tom atop her lowered his head and hissed in her ear, "Where did you send the kit?" "I-I don't know-" "Don't lie to me," the tom spat, sinking his claws deep into her back. "Where did you send her!?" "C-can't tell..." Ginger whimpered through gritted teeth. "WHERE!?" The tom roared, pressing his deadly claws against her delicate throat. Ginger gasped in fear, but her options were limited. She looked up into the tom's eyes, he wouldn't hesitate to kill her. She bowed her head. "I sent her to get help from Copperfur, a Clan cat."
The tom shot a horrified glance at his dark-furred comrade who had Martin pinned. The Clans weren't supposed to know. This was bad. Ginger seemed to notice that, but kept her head bowed. She knew she had made the right decision by alerting Copperfur. If these cats feared the Clans, there was hope. But is it fear of the Clans... or something else?
The tom pinning Ginger looked to the dark tom pinning Martin. He was looking for his orders, although he already knew what had to be done. They had to get these kittypets back to the BloodGang camp as soon as possible. They would come back for the rest of the kittypets later.

Ridge's eyes darkened, his tail lashing even faster than before. Clans?! The ginger hued tom nodded to his comrade, then seized his pinned hostage with his front paws while he climbed off, before seizing his scruff and wrenching his huge head up then pulling up the tom. He kept his locked jaw clenched round his neck fur digging in with his long ivories to stop the tom from struggling free.
Gesturing with his tail, he told the other tom to do the same with the female kittypet and follow him. Ridge began to drag the defeated tom along the hard path that led out of TwolegPlace, and back to the dump where the BloodGang camp awaited them.

Martin took a huge, gasping breath as the heavy tom stepped to the ground once more. It was cut short, however, when his head was yanked upward by the tom's strong jaws. He could feel the fangs buried in his scruff, and knew with a sinking heart that he could not get free. The kittypet lay limp as he was dragged along the ground, wincing ever so often when the leather collar around his throat would catch on a stick that he would be dragged over. The usually cheerful tom was now in a deep depression, drowning in his sorrow. Why did I even leave the house? He thought, growning inwardly. The tom closed his eyes, then opened them once more only to narrow them to slits. If they wanted to have them, they would have to endure the most annoying kittypet that was at the Twoleg place. "Where are we going?" Martin meowed, acting as if this was any other conversation.
