Name: Longstride
Age: 25 moons
Gender: She-cat
Rank: Deputy
Clan: Echoclan
Apprentice/Mentor: N/A
Appearance: Longstride is a thin she-cat with unusually long legs. She seems to have been built for speed. Her fur is semi-long, and is a mix of ginger tabby, black, and white until it reaches her tail. It is then that the colors blend together to the point it's hard to tell where one ends and one begins. There is more brown in the tail than any other color. Longstride's eyes are a bright yellow-gold that are more round than narrow. Her ears are large, and her paws are very small.
Voice: Her voice is usually very firm at all times. It sounds light, but constantly has a serious undertone embedded within it.
Battle: Longstride is quick on her feet, using her speed to confuse her opponent. Her legs are very strong, and her claws are known to do great damage. This she-cat uses the belly rake more than anything else when fighting one-on-one.
Personality: This she-cat is quick-tempered and easily offended. She has been known to stay in a temper for a long time. She does not make friends easily, and seems to prefer being alone. Longstride is quite independent at all times. Using her attitude to her advantage, she doesn't wait a minute to voice her opinion on a plan. Clever, but Longstride can become quite snappish. This she-cat is proud, and doesn't like admitting she's wrong.
History: Longkit had a normal kit-hood. All was well with both her and her family. She did have one brother, but he died of a kit-cough soon after birth.
When Longpaw was apprenticed, she was soon sent into battle with her mother. It was then that their mother, Silverfeather, was killed while she was trying to protect Longpaw. Silverfeather was balanced on a hill before losing her ballance and rolling down. At the hill's base her head struck a rock and killed her instantly. Longstride grieved for many moons before finally vowing to take care of the rest of her family. Her father soon died of greencough right before Longpaw was made a warrior.
Longstride now spends her days as a normal warrior with normal duties. Nothing major has happened to Longstride so far as a warrior.
Family:
Father: Darkstorm, StarClan
Mother: Silverfeather, StarClan
Brother: Ravenkit, StarClan
SW:
A young apprentice was huddled by a tree, licking a deep paw wound frantically. Her body trembled with horror, the calico fur sticking up as if she had been struck by lighting. This was the apprentice's first battle, and it wasn't going well.
The she-cat flinced as a warrior was pushed into her. The warrior snarled at her to run, causing Longpaw to dart out of the way. The silver fur of the warrior was slick with blood as she balanced on her back legs. The tom she was fighting was a worthy opponent.
Longpaw gasped, watching as the tom swiped at her mother's legs. She was transported back to a training session with her mentor. /This move unbalance's an opponent./ her mentor had said. The words echoing in her head, Longpaw gasped. "Silverfeather!" she cried, launching herself toward the enemy tom. It was too late. The tom finally suceeded. Silverfeather swayed on her feet, eyes wide with terror as she fought to regain her balance. She lost the battle and tumbled head over tail down the steep hillside. "Silverfeather!" Longpaw wailed, now ignoring the battle. The tom her mother had been fighting had disappeared into the mass of screaming fur behind her. Longpaw watching in horror as her mother rolled down the hill violently, hitting a couple of bushes on the way down. The warrior was slammed against a rock before coming to a stop. The bundle of silver fur was motionless.
"Mother!" Longpaw yowled, throwing herself down the slope. The apprentice stumbled, catching her balance just in time to avoid getting the same fate as her warrior mother. The calico apprentice felt like she was flying as she ran down the slope. Her paws were prickling with pain as the she-cat skid to a stop on the thin grass. She padded forward a few steps, eyes wide. "Silverfeather?" she mewed, nudging the warrior. Silverfeather did not move. Her eyes were open and glazed, never to shine with warmth again. After a few more nudges, Longpaw admitted defeat. The apprentice collapsed, driving her small nose into her mother's bloody fur. She no longer cared if they won or not. She just wanted her mother back. Admidst the yowls and cries, Longpaw lay huddled next to her mother, feeling as if Silverpelt had been torn in two. Longpaw whispered her mother's name one last time before giving in to the creeping darkness that lurked on the edges of her mind.
Other:This she-cat prefers hunting to battling any day. She's quite good at hunting birds as she is able to leap high into the air or into trees.
