Treepaw pounced effortlessly on the rabbit, digging in his claws then biting down hard and feeling it go limp beneath his paws. Smiling to himself, the young tom straightened up and started to bury the prey. Then, the scent of a familiar cat driftd across the breeze to his nose. Frowning, Treepaw wondered why she was here. He turned to the bushes where a pale form pushed through the fern fronds.
White had been looking through the forest for the tom she'd met a few days ago. Treepaw. She liked him... but he was from Dawnclan, the Clan she'd sworn on her mothers death to hate and fight against with all her life. But he seemed okay. It wasn't exactly his fault, couldn't she make an exception for him? He wasn't like the rest... her heart was heavy as she wove through the trees in his territory, then stopped by Star Trees. The scent of a freshly killed rabbit hung in the air, along with his scent. She paused and lowered her head, then looked up and smiled to herself then walked through the ferns and gazed at the ebonite tom with her green eyes.
Treepaw smiled at her, then padded over and licked her cheek after a moments hesistation. He was very fond of her and he wanted her to know. She didn't claw his ears off, instead she just returned the show of affection and purred, touching her face to his and purring. Treepaw remained silent except for a few deep purrs. He rubbed his fur against hers and closed his eyes.
