Swiftrunner stood up abruptly, surely she would recognize Night, or Inkfur. But she knew she must respect her leader, as scared as she was inside. Night didn't even know she was expecting kits, what did he care? She shivered at the thought of her kits growing up as rogues, or loners, without a mother to care for them. Why not a whole Clan? But she nodded in agreement.
"Wrenstar, when shall we head out?"

"Immediately, if possible," Wrenstar replied, rising to her paws. She went to the corner of her den, and returned holding two leafs full of herbs. She placed one right in-front of Swiftrunner, then crouched down and devoured her own. Gulping down the rest of the bitter leaves, she nodded to Swiftrunner. "Meet me at the cavern entrance, I'm going to explain things to Longstride before I go."
Soaring from the top of the highledge, Wrenstar bounded across camp toward Longstride, ignoring the curious gazes that burned into her fur. Sitting next to her deputy, Wrenstar told Longstride about Swiftrunner's situation. "Look, I know it's dangerous, but this is a matter me and Swiftrunner need to resolve. Please don't repeat what I just told you; I don't want Swiftrunner's kits to have to learn from other cats who their father is. Swiftrunner will tell them when the time comes. "Now, you are in charge until we return. Remember what we've been focusing of in patrols (being aware of twoleg presence) and I trust you to keep our Clan safe."
Wrenstar padded to the cavern entrance, the traveling herbs already giving her a feeling of endless energy.

Longstride sat silently as Wrenstar explained, taking the explaination surprisingly well. She hadn't known what Swiftrunner had been doing, but she remembered not being able to find the she-cat a few times while setting up patrols. That makes more sense. she thought silently.
As Wrenstar bounded off, the calico deputy stood suddenly. Aware of the cats watching this curious set up, she shifted slightly. "You have my word Wrenstar." the she-cat meowed. The words echoed, a strong and true promise.

Swiftrunner quickly chewed the traveling herbs, wincing at their strong stench. Giving her pelt a few brief licks she headed out into the early sunlight. She quickly made her way to the camps entrance and looked over to Wrenstar for approval.
Where would Night stay, was he even within the forest? It was a matter of choice.

Wrenstar padded out of the cave beside Swiftrunner. The cooling spray on the waterfall dampening their fur as their quest began. "We'll start in the Sunnywood Grove," Wrenstar told Swiftrunner. "That's the most likely place a rogue would shelter."
Continued in the: Sunnywood Grove!!!
OOC: Maosi, you can start the thread in the forest.
