Darkslash led Mimi and the other warrior in his patrol towards the waterfall. He saw Mimi's face twist in confusion beside him. "Yeah, its looks weird. But our camp is behind that waterfall." He led the way behind the waterfall, then told Mimi to wait there. Darkslash looked round for Longstride, Wrenstar, or Copperfur so he could tell them about Mimi. _____________________________________________________________________
The cave was huge! The trickling sound of water filled her mind as she stared round, looking at all the cats, and all the dens. Mimi had never been in a place like this before. But some of the cats didn't look all that friendly. Some gave her mocking glances, but others just ignored her. She looked up at the she-cat that sat beside her, wondering where Darkslash had gone.

A golden cat appeared at the top of a ledge located high upon the cavern wall. If not for her size, she could have easily been mistaken for a lioness. Her powerful, amber eyes flicked to the cavern floor to rest upon the small figure of a cat who seemed to have just turned apprentice age. Except, given away by her scent and belly, she was a kittypet. Wrenstar leapt to the cavern floor in a single, graceful bound. The way she carried her shoulders and head made her identifiable as the Clan leader, only her amber eyes were warm and friendly. She approached the kittypet and Darkslash, one of her warriors.
"So... what brings a cat from Twoleg Place to our forest? Is there something wrong?" Wrenstar spoke to the kittypet, but glanced curiously at Darkslash.
*** Copperfur emerged from the tunnel leading to the warriors' den. Moss still clung to his pelt, and he opened his mouth in a wide yawn. He padded to the fresh-kill pile and selected a plump vole, settling alone beside the cavern wall to eat. Taking a bite, Copperfur almost dropped his food when he noticed Wrenstar and Darkslash talking to a young kittypet. Not taking his olive gaze from the scene, he devoured the rest of his vole, clearing away the remains when he had finished. Rasping his pink tongue 'round his muzzle, he settled upon a large stone not far from the conversation. He pricked up his ears to listen.

There was a slight rustling as a she-cat appeared from the mouth of one of the many small caves located inside the main cavern. Her yellow eyes landing on the stranger, they showed just a trace of hostility. She was too tired to show more than that.
As the calico began to limp across the cool floor, she was well aware of the shocked whispers that spread through the Echoclan camp. She did not know how news of the attack at last night's Gathering had spread so fast, but now the damage was done. At least these scars won't prove we're liars. She thought bitterly. Her once beatiful face was now marked by three scratches that would most likely scar, due to the fight she had with the 'Tribe cat'.
Longstride lifted her head high, limping with as much dignity as she could manage toward Wrenstar. After what seemed like moons, she arrived at her friend and leader's side. Merely dipping her head, she settled to a painful sitting position to listen to the conversation.

Mimi stared up at the she-cat who's pelt shone in the sun, adding to the grand air that hung around her. She looked important. Very important. A little smile spread across her face, but she didn't waste time with bowing and admiring. Yeah, it was rude. Now wasn't the time for manners. "My names Mimi."
She scented another cat behind her. Looking round, she saw another important looking she-cat. This one was limping, and had scratches over her pretty face. Mimi watched as she sat beside the other authorative she-cat, then carried on.
"There are these cats. They're called BloodGang. They live in a rubbish dump, and they're capturing pet cats and loners and rogues; everyone, so they're stronger. And they're attacking some of my friends. One of them has met Copperfur, and I'm told he lives here." She surveyed the clearing with round blue eyes, hoping there was any sign of him. She spotted a copper hued tom sitting in a corner, and she hoped that was him so they could get going quickly.
Returning her veiw to Wrenstar, she looked up and hoped that the she-cat would let him go to help. _____________________________________________________________________
Darkslash sat down, watching his leader and hoping she'd listen to the young kittypet. Mimi was definately talking confidently. Six moons and already talking buisness to the leader of a Clan.

'There are these cats. They're called BloodGang.'
As the words of the kittypet reached her ears, Longstride stiffened. BloodGang? Could that really have been the truth the tom was speaking that bloody night? /I can't believe it!/ she thought, eyes wide. The she-cat, still stiff, leaned toward the kittypet, her voice cracking slightly. "BloodGang? Is that what you said?"

"Well-well," Wrenstar spoke, smiling down at Mimi. "It seems as if our melodramatic friend from the gathering was telling the truth. I didn't doubt him, although I believed he just had an emotional outburst. Just like you used to have-" Wrenstar turned to Longstride, smiling-" before you grew to control your anger." Wrenstar winked to Darkslash, then rested her tail upon her deputy's shoulder to soothe her.
Turning back to Mimi, Wrenstar smirked. "It would be only necessary for us to stop these cats from collecting more members as well as capturing your friends, Mimi. We will help you." Turning her amber gaze to Copperfur, she beckoned him over with a twitch of her sunshine tail. Copperfur padded over slowly, his olive eyes darting from Mimi to his leader. Wrenstar waited until he settled before speaking.
"Copperfur, do you have anything to say in this discussion, since I know you're been listening?"
***
Copperfur trudged over to join the group, his eyes dark with embarrassment. Now half the Clan thought he was interacting with kittypets during his spare time. At least it was better than them knowing he had fallen in love with a beautiful rogue she-cat he had only seen once. His head ducked in shame, Copperfur replied to Wrenstar. "I met a kittypet named Ginger once when I went to Twoleg Place to get catmint."
He looked up at his wise, golden leader. She nodded in understanding, then replied. "I believe you Copperfur. Ginger must've known you were a fighter, and must've thought you could help her. "Darkslash, could you, Cricketpaw, and Copperfur please follow Mimi to her friends?"

Darklash looked at Wrenstar as she spoke. His gaze followed Wrenstar's to look at Copperfur to come over. The tom arrived, and Wrenstar finished speaking. He looked down at the little cream she-cat, only half believing he was following a kit. Well, we need to help and its Wrenstar's orders.
Looking round, Darkslash tried to locate Cricketpaw in the space under the waterfall, but he couldn't see her pelt anywhere. Looking at Mimi, he told her with a tail motion to wait, then looked round at Copperfur. "I'll go and find Cricketpaw, okay?" He asked the tom, then turned round and padded off to the apprentice den.
-------------
Mimi stared up at Wrenstar, listening intently to what she said. Looking round, she wondered who Cricketpaw was. Probably another one of these cats. Pacing up and down slightly, she wished they would just get going quickly, so they could get back to Ginger and Martin.
Is it already too late?

Listening to her leader and friend, Longstride allowed a slightly sour smile to cross her maw. "It seems, Wrenstar, I haven't completely obtained control." she meowed, chuckling darkly. The she-cat leaned back and closed her eyes, letting out a sigh as she listened to the conversation carry on. She could now get to the conclusion- The BloodGang was attacking the loners and rouges. Another sigh issued from her throat. It's just a matter of time before they go after us. she thought grimly.
'Darkslash, could you, Cricketpaw, and Copperfur please follow Mimi to her friends?' At these words, Longstride's eyes flashed open. Her yellow gaze cut through the gloom of the cave in a furious glare. The deputy was just opening her mouth to protest when the stupidness of this action would be hit her. She shut her jaws, the small click almost unheard to the others. Of course I can't go. I couldn't even get there in time, let alone be able to fight well. She thought. The calico slowly dropped her head, accepting Wrenstar's decision.

OOC: I changed Swiftrunner to Cricketpaw cause I forgot she was expecting kits... some Clan leader, huh? Wrenstar rested her tail upon her deputy's shoulder. Darkslash went off looking for Cricketpaw, and Copperfur stood beside Mimi at the entrance to the Cavern, shuffling his paws nervously in the dirt. Wrenstar turned her gaze back to Longstride, seeing her disappointment in not being able to go. "Don't worry," Wrenstar meowed. "As soon as your wounds heal, you'll be the first to lead the patrols. I don't want to lose my deputy, and your Clan needs you, Longstride." *** Copperfur kept his olive gaze from the curious stares of his Clan-mates. He felt as if he had once again betrayed them without meaning to. Why was there to much racism toward the loner-born? Surly if you were raised beside warriors, you were a warrior. If only that was true...

OOc: *Giggles* Don't worry. Everyone makes mistakes Eshe.
Bic: Longstride dipped her head and sighed. "Oh I know Wrenstar." she meowed quietly. The calico was disappointed; As a deputy, she was supposed to be out there defending her Clan! Yet, due to her own concern, she had nearly been killed. Yay for me. She thought sourly.
The she-cat slowly stood and turned, listening to Wrenstar's tail slide off her shoulders. The she-cat started limping heavily toward the medicine cat's den, eyes shining bright with pain. Not pain from her wounds, but a pain that came from having been defeated by a loner. A deputy not able to defend her Clan was crazy. Am I fit for this position after all? Longstride wondered, feeling even more down then before. ---------- A small tabby and white she-cat sat just outside the apprentice's den, staring out at the waterfall. Every now and then, when the water would gap, she could see a fuzzy image of the Clan's territory. Cricketpaw dug her clas into the ground in front of her, impatience clawing at her. Her mentor was nowhere to be seen, and she had not gone out that day yet. Anxious to be hunting or training, the young apprentice headed out toward the fresh-kill pile, eyes searching for Darkslash's dark pelt. "Darkslash?" she called, her voice swallowed up slightly by the dim roar of the waterfall.

Darkslash looked round as Cricketpaw's voice came from across the camp. Looking round, his ears perked up slightly and his face broke into a smile. "Cricketpaw! Come over, quick. We're going on a mission."
He gestured with his nose to where Mimi and Copperfur waited, then frowned. "Have you eaten?" He asked Cricketpaw, hoping she had. If these cats were still here, she'd need her strength.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
It was like torture. Mimi wanted to run out of the cave and fight those cats herself, but she knew she had to wait for the Clan cats. They would help. Looking over, the little cat opened her mouth in disbelief. "Darkslash! Come on!" She called, really hoping he'd get a move on. They needed to help Ginger and Martin.
Are they going to sit there all day!?

Eyes brightening as she caught sight of her mentor, Cricketpaw's face twisted into an expression of excitement. A mission! She'd been waiting forever to go on a mission!
The young cat bounded over to her mentor, now filled with energy. "Yes, I ate earlier." she meowed in an impatient voice. She thanked StarClan really quick that she had ate that sparrow earlier before bounding over to Mimi and Copperfur.
Upon reaching the two, she blinked and lowered her head so she was eye level with Mimi. Only a few moons older than the kit, she was curious. "Who are you?"

Darkslash nodded as he learnt of her meal, happy that she should have enough strength. Looking down, Cricketpaw's question floated to him, but looking at the uncertainty and frustation in Mimi's eyes, he gestured out of the cave. "She can tell you whats happening on the way, but for now we need to get going."
The tom led the way out behind the waterfall, then padded towards to the bush where he had met Mimi.
"I'm Mimi" He heard the young kit tell his apprentice "I was a kittypet but I ran off, and then there was this fight with another kittypet and a loner came to help me. His name was Match, and we were fighting against Fiver, another kittypet. Then Fiver went into a, kind of trance, and talked about BloodGang. Everyone got all worried, and they told me what it is."
"They're these cats, and they live in a dump outside Twolegplace. They're looking for kittypets and loners and rogues to join them so they can fight against the Clans, so they can rule the forest. And when cats don't want to join, they fight them into it."
Pausing, Mimi pushed her nose to the ground and sniffed around, then padded off on her path, looking around, presumably for landmarks she'd seen on her way to Echoclan. He smiled slightly as he watched Mimi and Cricketpaw trot along, side by side. Birds sang in the trees, and the gentle sound of the water fall tinkled in his ears.
Its peaceful here, but whats happening to her friends?

Cricketpaw impatiently shook herself as spray from the waterfall landed on her pelt like rain. Usually she loved the cool liquid that seemed to help her to calm down, but right now there was trouble to take care of.
The young apprentice paused once in the new sprouts of grass, her eyes looking around the territory. Though it all seemed friendly enough, she knew that there was danger unseen in every corner. Her ears swiveled toward Mimi, taking in each word with careful consideration. One word caught her attention. BloodGang. Now the forbiding word that had been heard at the gathering now had a name. Cricketpaw had not been able to go to the gathering; she hadn't had a mentor appointed yet, marking her as a kit still. Yet, she was old enough to know that the warning brought by the strange cats that apparently attacked Longstride meant doom for the Clans. And now it was here.
"But why kittypets? Aren't they usually soft and not fit for life in the wild? Why would these BloodGang cats need kittypets when they could have loners and rogues?" Cricketpaw asked, trotting alongside both Darkslash and Mimi.

Mimi looked at the other she-cat and shrugged, sniffing at some grass then suddenly changing direction as she smelt her earlier scent.
"I dunno'. Maybe to do their dirty work, carry messages or something. " A gulp rose in her throat as she thought of the horrible things they might use them for. "Maybe even killing practice, or getting themselves killed to make a point. Suicide..." The words came out of Mimi's lips in a mere whisper, hoping desperately that they weren't too late.
Stopping for a second, she listened to the sounds. Apart from the twittering of birds, the sounds of monsters rolled over to the group. "We're nearly there!" Her voice came excitedly. Beginning to run, she tripped over a sleeping mouse. It woke up and scurried away, Mimi hissing after it in frustration.
Frowning, she remembered the last time she'd eaten. Yesterday... Shaking that away, she scented the air again. It was tainted with the foul scent of twolegs, monsters and garbage. But she remembered the way by sight now.
The fawn she-cat stopped at the edge of the trees and listened intently, sniffing. Strangly enough, there were no sounds of a battle and the scent of cat was no longer fresh. Peering round the sycamore she crouched behind, her face completely fell as she saw the blood stained corner, tufts of fur, but no cats. She followed some of the blood, then squeaked and jumped back, straight into Cricketpaw as she saw the body of a dead cat. Shakily, she took a step forward and glimpsed the corpse again. It wasn't Ginger or Martin, which was a relief.
Too late.
