Darkslash crept along through the undergrowth, looking around. He was definately near the camp now, as the smell of Dawnclan was very powerful, and he could see the bushes that surrounded the camp. Smiling, he walked forward towards the camp confidently. He skirted around until he found the main entrance, then walked through the tunnel. Leaves dragged on his fur as he entered, so he shook them off. As he stepped through into the grassy clearing, a ripple passed through the Clan. It was like a mexican wave as they all turned to look at him, one by one. Hisses came from places around the camp, but he was detirmined not to be put off. He gazed round at the cats in the Clan, then turned to a senio warrior. "Can I talk to Waterstar please? Its urgent."

Frostfur padded out of the warrior's den, wondering what on earth the commotion was about. Right away, she spotted a tom swaggering up to a senior warrior, calmly asking him where Waterstar was. Quickly, she bounded up to the tom, dismissing the older warrior with a flick of her tail. "I'm afraid you'll have to tell me before you see Waterstar. I must know why you have so rudely intruded our territory and camp, after all," she said calmly, adding a hint of authority. She hoped this cat would get the hint. Glancing around, she spotted Sootclaw stalking toward the two. Oh no... she thought.
Sootclaw was up in the intruder's face within seconds of his arrival. "Who are you?! Why are you on Dawnclan territory? In our camp? Well, bucko? You better have a good explination!" he growled, flexing his claws dangerously. Frostfur shot him a look, which he ignored completely, refusing to let his eyes leave the tom.

His amber eyes narrowed instinctively as the black tom came up and shoved his face in Darkslash's. Sootclaw. He'd met the tom at gatherings; he was known to have a temper for other Clans. Dawnclan scent filled his mouth as he glared back for a few seconds, dark topaz hued optics glaring into the shadow hued tom's dull amber eyes, tension crackling as the two agressive toms squared up. Then sense came to him, and he remembered that he was here to give a message. Back to th point. Drawing back, he stood up straighter then turned slightly to Frostfur. "I'm here to speak to Waterstar." He said clearly, flashing a glare at Sootclaw as he waited for the deputy's answer. "Its a message from Wrenstar. Can I speak to her?" Frustration was beginning to kick in.
It'll be moonhigh by the time I get to speak to her.

Frostfur relaxed. "From Wrenstar, you say? Well then, go right ahead," she said, slowly gestering with her tail. "Although, I do remind you it would be wise to share to information with me as well," she added cheerfully, before glancing at Sootclaw with pleadeding eyes. Stand down! It's not like he's attacking anyone... she mouthed, padding off to find Waterstar.
When Darkslash turned away, Sootclaw felt certinly aggrivated. He thinks he's so high and mighty just because he has a message from Wrenstar. Pah! I could beat his royal scrawny hind! he thought, still glaring at the tom. Only Frostfur's pleading look stopped him from stopping the Echoclan tom again. "You still haven't told us your name," he called irritably. Humph! After saving their deputy, this is how they treated him, even as their own cats sat there stupidly as Damien or whatever attacked Longstride.

He smiled at her allowing tones, then nodded respectfully to the deputy. His shoulders were hunched, slightly tense as he looked around for Dawnclan's leader. He felt an angry amber gaze hot on his dark tabby pelt. He swivelled his own line of sight around until it held the dark tom in its grasp. There was obvious anger and mockery in Sootclaw's eyes. The Echoclan warrior felt a snarl dragging across his face, but he dampened it, keeping a straight face. The last thing he needed was to look hostile.
Darkslash looked up, searching around for Frostfur or Waterstar. He spotted the light hued deputy and trotted over, following her as she looked for her leader.
Whats his problem?!

The fall wind hit her fur like a breath of fresh air. She walked into the clearing, quickly and quietly. "Hello," she meowed, seeing the cat before her. "What is all this about?" she asked She looked at each of their faces, they weren't exactly happy. She smiled, trying to make the mood happier. "Whatever it is don't worry. We can handle it, together," WaterStar meowed in confidence.

A proud white and calico shape walked quickly over, visible between the other cats of Dawnclan. "Waterstar." He greeted her, nodding respectfully, as all leaders, whatever Clan, deserved respect. "Wrenstar has a message for you. She wants you to meet her in the Stone Hollow tonight, along with the other leaders. A truce will be agreed, as its urgent. Will you come?"
Hoping that she would agree, he looked round at Sootclaw, who still looked as though he was smouldering. Returning his amber gaze to Waterstar, he waited for her response. If Bandit's warning was as bad as he said, she needed to come.
Go on... agree. You know you want to.

(*chuckle* This should be intresting for the Resistance...)
Frostfur angled her ears a little closer, curious. What on earth would Wrenstar call an emergency meeting for? Was it leaders only? Frostfur glanced between warrior and leader. She was quickly caught up in what the warrior was saying, forgetting her brother.
Sootclaw finally gave in with an irritable sigh. Frostfur and Waterstar were in control here. Feeling ignored, Sootclaw stalked off to vent his anger on some fresh-kill outside the warrior's den.

She looked at the warrior, "I will agree to come, but is it only leaders?" She didn't feel to confident, it could be a trick, WrenStar could kill her and take over Dawnclan. "Is it possible for me to bring FrostFur with me?" she asked. She licked her lips savoring the last taste of the vole she had eaten earlier that day. She sat down, smiling at the warrior, waiting for his reply.

(Sorry its short. No muse...) Darkslash's ear flicked back uncertainly. Wrenstar hadn't informed him entirely on this... he'd have to make an assumption, however much he didn't like it. What if he got it wrong? Wrenstar would think he couldn't even give a message. Frowning, he considered his chances of being deputy, something he'd always wished for. His moody shell had only recently been left behind, and he still needed to prove himself. But she didn't know that, and he couldn't really tell her.
He nodded. "Thank you Waterstar. I suppose she could come, but there will be a truce. I'd lay my life on it. We can't fight, not at a time like this. Its urgent, the whole forest depends on it."
Not at a time like this.

WaterStar licked her left paw. "I understand. If you lay your life on it, FrostFur does not have to come." She smiled at the warrior, "I think you will be a great deputy some day." She licked his ear in affection.

Embarrasment flooded through him as Dawnclan's leader licked his ear, affectionately it seemed. Shocked as he was, he managed a nod. Darkslash didn't quite know what to say... the leader, of another Clan aswell, licking him on the ear.
"Thank you Waterstar. Wrenstar will be pleased," He smiled at her, silently thanking her for her warm words. How had she known about his desire to be deputy? Shrugging it off, the tom looked around, then thanked Waterstar again and finally thanked Frostfur.
"Wrenstar will meet you at the Stone Hollow tonight then, Waterstar. Echoclan thanks you for agreeing." His words were formal as he prepared to leave, hoping that they wouldn't escort him so he could make a quick exit and report back to Wrenstar with the news. As no one challenged him, he bounded away into Dawnclan territory, following his exact scent back, making sure he didn't stray to give them any reason to accused him. The delicious scent of mice and a rabbit nearby attempted to draw him away, but he didn't follow them.
As he located the border, he pondered. Waterstar had trusted his every word... what if Wrenstar had been planning to ambush her? He shook the thought away, telling himself that the leaders that this forest were seeing wouldn't do that. But what about leaders to come? A darker part of his mind voiced what was lingering at the borders to his thoughts.
And thats going to be me.

(Quote: 'Thanking Waterstar again, and finally Waterstar...')
Frostfur watched the warrior bound away, suddenly realzing she did not know the tom's name. "Wait!" she yowled, but the tom was long gone. He's in a hurry, she huffed, turning to Waterstar. "What do you think is so important that Wrenstar is calling a leader's Gathering?" she asked her leader, cocking her head curiously. She burned to know, to follow Waterstar and listen to what Wrenstar had to say. She quickly shook of the feeling though. Her job was to stay and watch the Clan the night Waterstar left. She trusted the other leaders well enough to expect the promise of a truce to be held. She sighed, her head swimming with questions.
Sootclaw glared at the tom as he bolted off, eager to tell his leader the news. He savagly chomped down on his thrush, getting some curious stares. Idly he wondered if Frostfur would go with Waterstar to this meeting.
(I just noticed all the leaders are female XD)

((hey that is true!!))
WaterStar watched the warrior leave. "I'm not sure what it is about, but it has to be a little important. I just hope he is telling the truth," she meowed. WaterStar walked towards her den. "I am afraid that Dawnclan won't have a leader anymore," she mumbled as she entered her den.

"Dawnstar!" Frostfur gasped, but her leader had already retreated her den. Frowning, Frostfur padded over to the freshkill pile. What if Dawnstar was right? What if it was an ambush? Then she has eight other lives, she thought savagly, trying to force the frightening images away. Froststar... no, she couldn't. Grabbing a mouse, she settled down beside Sootclaw. "What was with you?" she asked, bitting into her meal.
Sootclaw watched Frostfur walk over, a curious expression on her face. She shook herself off though, and settled down next to him. "Well, Im sorry! I was just protecting my Clan," he snapped, finishing off his thrush.
